Burton Street is a busy and varied place. A wide range of services, activities and events take place on and off our Hillsborough site. Around 2500 people attend each week, and around 150 people are employed in a variety of roles.
To help us meet our objectives, stay relevant, and continue to provide first rate services for the community, we are looking for Trustees with the following backgrounds or skill sets:
- Finance and accountancy
- HR / Personnel
- Facilities / Premises management
The Board of Trustees ensure The Burton Street Foundation meets its duties as a not for profit organisation. They bring a range of skills and experiences to the table, and help shape the strategic direction of the organisation.
They ensure objectives are pursued and values are upheld. They contribute actively to overall policy, set goals and targets, and evaluate performance. They also represent the organisation out in the wider world, and safeguard its good name.
Trustee meetings take place 11 times per year, on weekday evenings. Sub-committee meetings and other appointments can take place on an ad hoc basis.
If you are a member of the local community, and you have the time and skills to commit to supporting a dynamic and exciting not-for-profit community business, please contact us.
