Now that the dust has settled, the Hydrotherapy suite and our new extension is open, we just wanted to say a massive thank you and welcome people from the community to come and have a look around the newest facilities in Hillsborough.
So as the big day looms, just 2 days til the jets start pumping! We just wanted to review the benefits of a full hydrotherapy suite. This has been a long project and as we approach opening day, one may ask how this is going to take Burton Street to the next level of activity and rehabilitation.
50 clients and staff clients participated in our 7th Annual Inclusive Sports Day.
Today we launched a brand new two year project in conjunction with South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue (SYFR). The aim of the project is to improve the health and wellbeing of people with learning disabilities across Sheffield.
Back in June we launched the Burton Street Learning Difficulties Board (BSLDB).

As you may have seen by now, we're currently trying to raise funds to build a hydrotherapy suite. It's been something our clients, their families and carers have asked of us for many years. We understand and believe in the value of hydrotherapy, and it's something we've always wanted to be able to offer. However, Burton Street is a not-for-profit social enterprise, and we run on very tight margins. We don't have any big pots of money tucked away. This means the cost of building a hydrotherapy suite has always been out of our reach.
Over the past week or so a group of our clients have been working on a pretty cool multimedia project, and we thought you'd like to see it.
On Tuesday 28th November 2017, 15 clients and 7 staff took a trip to Barnsley. The Trip was made up from the Sky’s the Limit, Get Out There and the Allotment groups. A week later the crew got back together to reflect on their day. Here's what they said...
